Frends iPaaS

Frends enables seamless use of existing software and automation systems in AQUAVISIOSAP Business Technology Platform.

It’s common for water utilities to have a wide range of software that do not communicate with each other. When data cannot be combined, it leads to inefficient processes, data silos, and problems in automation workflows.

Frends combines data from different systems with AQUAVISION, where a machine-learning algorithm creates prediction models based on data from all the different systems.

With Frends, water utilities do not need to spend time and money renewing existing IT and automation systems to build functional DMAs.

AQUAVISIO can be integrated into any IT and automation architecture with Frends iPaaS

With Frends iPaaS, we have the power to connect, automate, and optimize integrations from a unified, modern, and high-quality integration platform.

We believe that integrations should be proactive, strategic priorities that are planned and coordinated in conjunction with the purchase of new systems. They also involve quality-assuring migrations from older, more traditional platforms and providing a modern, high-quality platform.

Frends iPaaS is a Nordic low-code integration platform, with more than 4000 satisfied end-customers globally, over 200 plug-and-play connectors, and the power to connect legacy systems while taking advantage of new technologies.

SAP Business Technology Platform

AQUAVISIO as part of the SAP Business Technology Platform

Water companies are in the process of developing AI capabilities to gain transformative outcomes in decisions and everyday action to become data driven organizations. Reducing water loss is one of these cases in the form of a digital solution based on data-driven intelligence. The partnership between Lining and SAP to align AQUAVISIO DMA monitoring with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) can enable water utilities to apply digital innovations by using technologies which ensure that they can continue to access, utilize and integrate their data improving performance and lowering costs, whilst ensuring water safety, affordability, and greater resilience.

AQUAVISIO is an extension to the SAP offering for water utilities. AQUAVISIO is integrated with SAP BTP, therefore its implementation is easy, especially for water utilities that already use SAP solutions.

When architecting water companies’ IT vision and strategy, the goal of building an Integrated (or Intelligent) Water Management System, or IWMS, has been a in the center of the discussions. IWMS is understood as a data platform which provides secure access to data with enough quality and consistency to be utilized effectively and generate actions, insights and address innovative, research driven, scenarios answering questions like:

  • Water balance: how the supply network works
  • Non-Revenue Water:  where are the main leakages.
  • Energy efficiency:  which is the most effective usage of energy in the network.
  • Water quality:  what is the real time view of the quality of your network.
  • Proactive asset management: health status and failure risk mitigation of the network assets.

SAP´s vision is to provide the required platform complementary capabilities to build an Intelligent Water Data Hub, this is a unified data layer with additional services for the different “modules” or applications connected to consume that information.  Partnership with Lining provides one of these key modular solutions for water leakages.
